Some Slow Rock Cuts Playing in My Mind

There are songs of my youth that I've been trying to get acquainted with once again through the web. The exercise was relatively rewarding as I was able to download some of them and now are playing every now and then in my MP3 player. But there is one cut that I can't find despite the persistent effort of "googling" about. I'm not so sure if it is by a rock band called "Animals" which brought us the classic "House of the Rising Sun". I seem to recall that it is entitled "Boundary" and it starts with the declaration, "Found between mountains and moors, between valleys and brooks and into the city..." My mind keeps it playing to sooth my longings for some distant past, a past that I seem not to have really reflected about as I was impatiently hurrying up into the future.

On Sundays though, as I shifted from my bureaucrat role to be a father to three girls aged 11, 10 and 3, I set my player to set the ambiance in my journey back into those unprocessed distant past. My most often played slow rock cuts are as follows:
  • Summer Breeze by Seals and Crofts
  • Stand By Me by Ben E. King
  • Boat on the River by Styx
  • Bright Eyes and Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel
  • Dream On by Nazareth
  • Tequila Sunrise and the Best of My Love by Eagles
  • Father and Son and Moonshadow by Cat Stevens
  • Wish You Were Here and Vera by Pink Floyd
  • Vincent by Don McLean

Adaptation

A change.

Keeping an electronic journal is becoming practical as we progressed deeper into the digital world. A busy yet well reflected life is something that enables one to adapt to the fast changing realities ushered to us by ICT. Thus, starting today, I'm opting for this mode to track down my personal journey down into the labyrinthine road we called life.

Come then and hike with me into self-discovery.
